What did Nardco get its name?

In 1961, Founder, David Sylvester started his own business and came up with the name Nardco by using letters from the names of his family.  Nardco was formed from NA – Nancy, youngest daughter; R – Romona, Wife; D – David, Founder; and CO – Connie, oldest daughter.

David experienced his first taste of furnace work in the 1940’s.  As a teenager, he helped install furnaces that his father sold at his local hardware store. After high school, he worked for a couple of local heating businesses and then spent some time working at Ford in Indianapolis.  His beliefs that honesty and integrity were two of the most important qualities needed for small business success proved to be correct and continues to be the driving force for Nardco today.
